Cleaning and eliminating red mites from empty poultry houses
BanMites Biosecure is an external farm application to control the red mites, a skin parasite found mainly in poultry layers causing irritation, stress, anaemia, drops in egg production and quality. It contains silicates that form a thin persistent film on surfaces, thereby hindering the parasite’s activity. It has a dehydrating effect which destroys the eggs and external cuticle in the later stages of the red mite. Some of the EO components block the respiratory process, and others lead to it’s progressive paralysis. The EOs used have a repellent effect on the mites, thus making them leave the birds or premises.
Composition:
A mixture of purified and atomized selected silicates + essential oils
Dosage and Administration:
BanMites Biosecure can be used in 2 different ways
i. As a direct application in the form of powder.
ii. As an aqueous suspension at the dosage of 15 kg of 100 liters of water. Both applications should be done by a uniform application of BanMites Biosecure @ 30 grams per square meter surface area.
BanMites Biosecure can be used as a preventive along with disinfection procedure, before the birds arrive in to the farm.
It can also be used for eliminating live infestation in presence of the birds. The treatment should be repeated at intervals of every 40-60 days depending on the level of parasite infestation.
